Role:Vessel Routing & Voyage Optimization

  • Oversee the operational performance of vessels, offering proactive alerts and recommendations in line with company standards (e.g., sensor faults, fuel overuse, inefficiencies).
  • Coordinate collection of vessel specifications and historical data for calibrating performance models, with support from data scientists if necessary.
  • Maintain communication with clients regarding missing or delayed data, data quality, and sensor issues to enhance overall model accuracy.
  • Evaluate performance data (real-time, periodic, and post-voyage) and offer technical recommendations to improve environmental and economic efficiency.
  • Drive corrective measures for data issues, whether software- or hardware-related.
  • Keep vessel performance records updated and accessible for stakeholders.
Requirements:Experience & Competency
  • Minimum of 2 years as a Chief Officer.
  • Hands-on experience with weather routing tools or services.
  • Strong practical knowledge of navigating in rough sea conditions.
  • Excellent verbal comprehension and good writing skills.
IT & Tools
  • Proficient in sea-keeping and operational software to test and provide feedback on new tools and features.
  • Skilled in Excel, PowerPoint, and JIRA.
  • Experience with data visualization tools.
