Job SummaryThe Product Manager, Supplier Finance is responsible in ensuring that Supplier finance activities within Trade and working capital are grounded in the Bank's strategic priorities through delivering customer value, driving productivity, optimizing cost efficiencies, facilitating #simplefasterbetter, and living the valued behaviours. This role is looking for individuals who can provide influence and align ambitious agendas and priorities while driving effective execution through skilled, engaged teams.The Product Manager, Supplier finance is accountable for the development of the supplier finance strategy, their front-to-back execution and commercialization, aligned to clear, simple, and robust product universe governance and product risk lifecycle management. This role will be part of the team that drives the growth in revenue, continuously optimise the returns and ensure key portfolio targets are achieved and build stronger capabilities in key regions like Europe & Americas and GCNA.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancials Management:
  • Drive the Supplier Finance strategy to deliver superior financial results driving exponential growth with constant monitoring against budgeted revenue & forecast and proactively engaging the stakeholders in devising & executing remedial action for under-performing products & geographies.
  • Monitor against budgeted revenue forecasts, highlight underperforming products / regions and devise remedial and supportive action.
Market Management & Commercialization
  • Support the large deal, spot opportunities/markets/industry to drive growth and manage concentration risks, work on product campaigns, effective communications, internal & external awareness of product capabilities, Industry/client value propositions, product collaterals to facilitate training & client discussions by TB sales/RMs.
  • Conduct regular reviews of the product offerings to ensure a “fit for purpose” operating plan and product agenda.
  • Supports launch of product enhancements, new products, channels or new platforms.
  • Leads product brand and capabilities training workshops with client facing teams (TB Sales, Structured Solutions and Coverage) to articulate the product positioning and client value proposition.
  • Designs commercialization tool kits, product packs and related collateral to support and provide training for Coverage, Sales in TB (both FI and Corporates), Sales in Business Banking, Operations in TTO and other staff touching SCF.
  • Collaborates with key location product managers to ensure product readiness and fit for purpose before pilot / launch.
  • Provides business solutions for complex deals or RFPs to drive sales and solutions.
  • Meets and engages clients to understand their needs or to commercialize new capabilities.
  • Ensures replication of deals / unique solutions across countries and across industries.
Product Digital Journey & Efficiency
  • Engage in design and development activity relating to new products and the re-engineering of existing products. Formulate / enhance credit and delivery model for Supplier Finance.
  • Drives the product digitization agenda (product, process and platforms) with Trade Digital and Data team in conjunction with global and country stakeholders.
  • Builds product value propositions with digital partners (3rd party platforms, consortiums, and alliances).
  • Collaborates with the Data and Digital team, managing platform relationships with a focus on shaping future product roadmaps and commercial opportunities.
  • Owns commercialization of digital solutions and capabilities across key markets.
  • Works closely with Digital and Data team to design and deliver training materials on our platforms as well as other digital capabilities for clients.
Client Experience
  • Work with key stakeholders including product development, channels and data team to deliver enhanced client experience, challenging the status quo and developing innovative digital solutions and progress towards achieving a digital and data-based product management.
  • Collaborate and work with key stakeholders including partners and region/country teams to identify client needs and develop suitable client value propositions including product bundling strategies. Develop market and client feedback loop to ensure that client behaviour is well understood and appropriate enhancements made to product and services
  • Understand client's / industry business issues / pain points and convert them to opportunities by packing and/or creating solutions.
  • Stay connected with clients, industry bodies and peers in the industry to maintain insights on changing landscape, competitive environment, technological evolvement, best industry practices and key product trends
Our Ideal Candidate
  • 15+ years of regional or global experience managing or selling supply chain finance and trade finance solutions at large in one of more global financial institutions and geographies
  • Combination of large and small deal experience across geographies and customer segments including MNCs, large LCs and SMEs
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Experience in leading/driving change including strong project and process management skills
  • Strong people management skills
  • Strong sales and interpersonal skills with an ability and knowledge to articulate SF program benefits
  • Ability to negotiate and understand legal agreements supporting SF solutions
