We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior/Production Technician to join our team. As a Senior/Production Technician, you will play a vital role in our manufacturing process, ensuring that products are produced efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with quality standards. Your attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot and solve problems will contribute to the success of our production operations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain manufacturing facilities, equipment, jigs and fixtures, such as assembly jig and machinery, calibration equipment and Tester, Glue Dispenser, Ultrasonic cleaner, conveyors, and automated machinery, to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.
  • Monitor production processes, identify any issues or deviations from specifications, and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Conduct regular equipment calibration and correlation checks throughout the production process to ensure consistency of product specifications and quality standards and maintain stable production yield.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and quality control personnel, to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, resolve production issues, and implement process improvements.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to ensure consistent and accurate production outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including batch records, equipment logs, and quality control documentation.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Participate in training programs and stay updated on industry trends and advancements in manufacturing technology.
  • Set-up of new production stations, and able to troubleshoot hardware and software related issues.
  • Provide support in other areas of the production process as needed, such as production output.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and technical skills to operate and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions and procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve production issues.
  • Good communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and report any production issues or equipment malfunctions.
  • Basic computer proficiency to enter and retrieve data, as well as use production software and systems.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control procedures and techniques.
  • Knowledge safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge lean manufacturing principles and practices is desirable.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects such as product instruments, jigs & fixtures weight range between 5kg and 10kg.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods such as continuous 2 hours to 3 hours when perform equipment’s maintenance and calibration.
  • Willing to work 8.5 hours a day, support night shifts when necessary, and after work hours (overtime), including on Public Holidays and weekends as required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum Higher NITEC in Mechanical, Electronics, related Engineering field or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.
  • Possess work experience in electronics assembly environment would be an added advantage.
