- Apply financial knowledge and methods to enhance credit structuring.
- Identify and uses the key financial indicators necessary to measure and manage business unit performance to increase total credit quality.
- Generate ideas, provide solutions & support to business towards achieving financial targets.
- Review and perform credit analysis of credit applications submitted by business and seeks additional information from business if required.
- Work closely with Private Bankers to improve management of accounts, including making joint client calls (when required) to understand clients' financing needs so as to structure credits/loan financing that are suitable for the clients.
- Contribute ideas in the streamlining or updating of credit guidelines and work processes.
- Contribute ideas in the reviewing of the various product framework papers for according to Margin of Finance.
- Ensures all credit solutions are in compliance with Department and Bank Group policies and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements (eg. BNM & MAS etc.) and to minimise adverse findings by external auditors.
- Ad-hoc credit approval for amendments and indulgence request from bankers
- Attend to queries from CMPB and/or credit committees'' members
- Attend and present to credit committee meetings - GPBCC and GCC and pre-GCC for credit cases
- Liaising with ops, legal, compliance on credit matters
- Provision of credit training and hand holding of private bankers on credit 101
- Providing to Finance loan related budget and forecast numbers
- Supporting relevant BNM and/or MAS regulatory reporting
- Working with Group Risk and Finance on RWA and RAROC matters
- Working with Legal on enforceability matters
- Working with Treasury or SALCO on COF and/or loan pricing matters
- Minimally, a Tertiary Degree Holder
- Minimum working experience of 5 to 10 years in private banking / wealth management or related roles in risk monitoring / risk management
- Good understanding of lending and investment products
- Ability to communicate and write clearly and concisely
- Strong sense of urgency to execute end-to-end credit process
- Collaborative and keen to learn new things every day
