Job Description:We are looking for a creative, motivated, and ambitious person to join our growing team at CNA TV, home to the flagship news programmes Asia First, East Asia Tonight and Asia Tonight, along with our morning-to-evening hourly newscast, Asia Now. A key part of our bulletins is the guests we speak to on myriad topics, from geopolitics to sustainability. Our Booking Desk producers help us connect with experts, specialists, commentators, government officials, policymakers, business leaders and many other voices to bring our audience insight and analysis.Responsibilities:
  • Book guests for CNA TV programmes and sometimes for CNA Radio
  • Screen prospective guests' online postings and research to ensure they have an objective, impartial and professional approaches to issues, especially sensitive ones
  • Help to further develop CNA's guest booking database and maintain strong external relations
  • Sift through pitches from outside groups and flag interesting / important ones to senior editors
  • Keep track of events in Singapore, the rest of Asia and around the world to look for coverage opportunities
  • Field produce interviews or manage live events in Singapore
  • Pitch ideas for guest segments to editors, keeping the focus on the reporting of global developments with Asian perspectives, in line with our goal to help our audience ‘Understand Asia'
  • Liaise with editorial, operations and camera unit staff
  • Train in television production
  • Produce and manage videos of guest segments for cna.asia
Qualifications:Requirements:
  • Possess a relevant degree
  • Excellent command of English
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of video editing systems
  • Be prepared to work irregular hours
