We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced QA Engineer with a strong background in Video Streaming App Testing, preferably within platforms like Samsung, Sony, LG, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and others. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in functional testing, automation (Python/JavaScript/Selenium), and network analysis tools such as Charles Proxy or Wireshark. You'll be responsible for end-to-end testing of streaming applications across devices and platforms, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement test approaches and strategies for video streaming applications.
  • Perform functionality, compatibility, integration, accessibility, and reliability testing across:
  1. Windows, iOS, macOS, Web
  2. Third-party streaming devices (e.g., LG TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV Stick).
  • Execute comprehensive testing for OTT and video apps such as Netflix, Instagram, etc.
  • Conduct application and network testing using tools like Charles Proxy and Wireshark.
  • Automate functional testing using Python, JavaScript, or Selenium (must-have).
  • Test accessibility features including VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, Hover Text, Full Keyboard Access.
  • Perform backend service testing and analyze integration behaviors.
  • Triage and document bugs thoroughly with logs, screenshots, and reproduction steps.
  • Collaborate with developers and product teams to drive issues to closure.
  • Use Unix terminal/command line tools to collect logs and diagnose problems efficiently.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Must be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR).
  • Hands-on experience with Video App testing on smart TVs, mobile apps, and web platforms.
  • Strong coding skills in Python, JavaScript, and Selenium for test automation (mandatory).
  • Proficient in Windows & Web application testing.
  • Extensive experience in network traffic analysis using Charles Proxy or Wireshark.
  • Experience in testing OTT platforms and streaming media applications.
  • Familiar with accessibility testing standards and tools.
  • Knowledge of backend service testing is a plus.
  • Strong bug triaging, log analysis, and documentation skills.
  • Comfortable using Unix/Linux command-line interface.

Soft Skills:
