
ENGLISH TEACHER ( SPECIAL EDUCATION)
We are a boutique CPE registered school in Orchard Road offering classes to both mainstream children and children with developmental or academic challenges.
We are looking for dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as an English Teacher specializing in Special Education and Inclusive Teaching where you'll inspire and empower students to reach their full potential.
What You'll Do:
- Design and deliver differentiated English language lessons to meet the needs of students with diverse learning abilities and styles (Grade 1 to Grade 8).
- Implement effective instructional strategies, accommodations, and modifications to support students with special educational needs.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes diversity, equity, and belonging.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
- Utilize assistive technologies and resources to enhance learning outcomes for students with disabilities.
- Participate in professional development activities to stay updated on best practices in special education and inclusive teaching.
Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in special education / education from recognized university.
- Possess Certificate in English Language Teaching (CELTA) an advantage.
- Relevant teaching experience in SPED setting / inclusive school setting.
- Relevant working experience with students with challenges and learning difficulties.
- Relevant experience teaching English as Second Language (ESL) learners.
- International Primary Curriculum (IPC) experience/ British Curriculum experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and sensitivity to the needs of a diverse and multicultural environment.
- Knowledge & skills to manage behavior through appropriate behavior intervention strategies.
