Marsh Advisory is seeking to fill consulting roles to support the delivery of climate and sustainability projects across Asia.

The role, based in Hong Kong, will sit within Marsh’s growing Climate & Sustainability consulting practice within Strategic Risk Consulting in Asia and be dedicated to delivering impactful client work across the three pillars of our Climate & Sustainability practice:

Natural hazards and physical risks – supporting our clients analyse and prepare for accelerating physical risks drawing on our climate risk insights, risk engineering capabilities, and insurance transfer products Carbon and Transition risk – helping our clients understand their transition risks using quantitative modelling and supporting them plot a pathway to Net Zero Sustainability – assisting our clients meet regulatory and investor requirements on sustainability disclosures and embedding ESG risks into their enterprise risk management frameworks and strategic roadmaps

Consultants joining the Climate & Sustainability practice will be supported by industry experts to execute complex and impactful client deliverables. They will also have access to our growing international network of consultants, across the entirety of Marsh Mclennan

We will count on you to:

  • Support the delivery of consulting projects including data analysis (financial and spatial) and qualitative research
  • Undertake rigorous analysis into and translate them into clear business-level strategic implications for clients across their climate and sustainability journey
  • Produce high quality outputs including detailed reports, numerical insights and synthesized presentations
  • Contribute to proposal development
  • Undertake research into emerging climate and sustainability trends and understand their implications to clients
  • Provide professional advice to clients in developing and adjusting project approaches, methodology and tools to guide sustainability programs and initiatives

What you need to have:

  • Degree in business, environmental science or management, engineering or other academic field relevant to sustainability
  • 2 – 5 years relevant experience in sustainability, climate change or catastrophe analytics either in consulting or in-house
  • Awareness and experience in the concepts and application of relevant international frameworks e.g. GRI, SASB, ISO14001, GHG Principles, SBTi, TCFD

Desirable:

  • Comfort with large data sets, particularly spatial data with GIS skills
  • Experience in natural catastrophe modelling and the insurance industry
  • Experience in sustainability-linked / climate finance, climate risk, and TCFD reporting
  • Experience working in multiple industries and working in other Asian nations
  • Fluency or working proficiency in a language use in Asia, other than English
