The Role:
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in kitchen operations, a love for Japanese cuisine, and an eye for detail and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee a specific section of the kitchen (hot, cold, or prep) and ensure dishes are prepared consistently to SKOSH’s standards
Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and portion standards
Ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times
Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef with daily kitchen operations and service prep
Monitor stock levels and communicate needs proactively
Train and guide junior staff, ensuring proper kitchen etiquette and techniques
Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials when required

Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role (café, casual dining, or Japanese cuisine preferred)
Solid understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards
Strong knife skills and food presentation abilities
Passionate about food, especially Japanese flavours and café culture
Team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Able to work on weekends and public holidays when required
Food Hygiene Certification is an advantage.
