What you'll be doing
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts, including construction agreements, subcontracts, and other legal instruments
- Providing legal guidance and support on issues related to project implementation, regulatory compliance, and risk management
- Researching and staying up-to-date with changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate legal risks
- Assisting with the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure legal compliance
- Providing legal support for the company's business development activities, including tender responses and contract negotiations
What we're looking for
- A Bachelor's Degree in Law from a reputable educational institution
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Corporate Legal Counsel, preferably within the construction or engineering industry
- Strong understanding of contract law, construction law, and relevant regulations
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate well in Mandarin to converse and handle queries, concerns and requests from Mandarin speaking clients in regards with the construction matters
