What you'll be doing

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts, including construction agreements, subcontracts, and other legal instruments
  • Providing legal guidance and support on issues related to project implementation, regulatory compliance, and risk management
  • Researching and staying up-to-date with changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate legal risks
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure legal compliance
  • Providing legal support for the company's business development activities, including tender responses and contract negotiations

What we're looking for

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Law from a reputable educational institution
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Corporate Legal Counsel, preferably within the construction or engineering industry
  • Strong understanding of contract law, construction law, and relevant regulations
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate well in Mandarin to converse and handle queries, concerns and requests from Mandarin speaking clients in regards with the construction matters
