Project Role SAP BCM Consultant
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Techno-Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Bank Communication Management (BCM), Host-to-Host (H2H) integrations, Electronic Bank Statement (EBS) processing, and payment reconciliation. The ideal candidate will have a hybrid skill set combining strong functional understanding of SAP FICO with the technical capabilities required for custom development, interface configuration, and support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the design, implementation, and support of SAP FICO modules, with focus on Bank Communication Management and Treasury-related functions.
• Configure Host-to-Host connections with banks for payment file transmission, status updates, and bank statement retrieval.
• Set up and maintain Electronic Bank Statements (EBS) and automated bank reconciliation processes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, provide solution design, and support testing and go-live activities.
• Integrate SAP with SWIFT/MT formats, XML, or other custom bank formats.
• Work closely with ABAP developers to design and implement custom enhancements, reports, and interface programs.
• Monitor and troubleshoot payment failures, transmission errors, and reconciliation mismatches.
• Maintain security, audit trails, and proper documentation related to banking processes.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Minimum 6 years of experience in SAP FICO, including AP/AR, GL, Asset Accounting, and Bank Accounting.
• At least 2 end-to-end implementations or rollouts involving BCM and Host-to-Host bank integrations.
• Strong configuration experience in BCM, DMEE (Data Medium Exchange Engine), DME trees, and Payment Medium Workbench.
• Expertise in Electronic Bank Statement (EBS) configuration and Automatic Bank Reconciliation.
• Experience working with bank connectivity protocols (SWIFT, SFTP, EBICS, etc.) and formats (MT940, MT101, ISO20022).
• Familiarity with SAP PI/PO, middleware, or other tools for file transmission and mapping.
• Strong techno-functional background—comfortable debugging, reading ABAP code, and collaborating on technical specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and client engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in SAP Treasury and Risk Management (TRM) is a plus.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and Fiori apps related to finance and payments.
• Exposure to multi-bank environments and global rollout projects.
