We are seeking a talented individual to join our Insurer Consulting Group team at Marsh. This role will be based in Singapore. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Marsh's Insurer Consulting Group (ICG) provides services to insurance carriers. The team aims to provide the insurance market with tools and services designed to assist them in identifying new opportunities, to improve their product offerings and to increase their operational efficiency. The Insights position is for productive professional who has a background and experience in delivering strategic and consulting solutions in insurance industry. The role will have a strong level of autonomy, requiring the individual to work independently with minimal supervision, acting as a focal point for driving insights delivery to broker (Marsh) and insurer clients. This role will have key responsibility for managing project frameworks, identifying the right data internally and externally, driving approach and methodology to craft a strategic output, storyboarding and delivering the final findings to clients. This role will also provide opportunity to create and foster relationships with strategic carrier partners in the commercial insurance space. The role objectives include achieving ongoing annual targets as well as delivery of insights and consulting projects.

We Will Count on You:

  • Build and maintain effective and sustainable relationships with executive management at strategic carriers in the Asia region.
  • Identify and understand the carriers’ requirements and needs, and work with Marsh regional and local colleagues to match these with ICG capabilities. Provide strategic framework that bring together Marsh’s insurance expertise to advise our clients on their growth and expansion strategy.
  • Get involved from conceptualization to delivery stage of insights projects, which include a blend of impact-oriented consulting, data analytics and market research activities.
  • Support in managing surveys and other initiatives to help us keep track of our insurer clients’ performance in Marsh portfolio.
  • Deliver Thought Leadership that combine macro trends and insurance data and Marsh’s commercial insurance expertise to provide market leading insights to our colleagues and clients.
  • Facilitate research and analysis in our portfolio across various markets or industries as designated to find new areas of opportunity for Insurers to improve their business performance with MMC.
  • Maintain, manage, and utilize various data sources internally and externally to produce data-powered insights and dashboards for our clients.
  • In conjunction with the Asia team, set and achieve/exceed annual revenue budget for the commercial insurance sector.
  • Work with local offices & teams to identify prospects, prepare pitch documents and consulting project scope, and help the team deliver effective sales pitch.
  • Own the knowledge management function in ICG Asia to ensure we are able to deliver faster and effective outputs by utilizing and adding to our knowledge directory.
  • Actively engage with local Lines of Business leaders to ensure their strategies & priorities are understood and accurately represented to strategic partners.
  • Address escalated issues and concerns in a timely and effective manner, help manage expectations, mitigate relationship risks, and apply judgement as to when to escalate major issues to colleagues while ensuring compliance.
  • Contribute to and promote ICG’s and MMC external image, expand professional networks and support strategic partners through press, articles/papers and external presentations.
  • Support insurers meetings, engagement with strategic carriers, and any significant events. Regional travel is required.

What You Need to Have

  • Degree holder with at least 8-10 years of relevant experience in the commercial insurance insights and consulting industry in Asia
  • Effective organization and consulting skills with key attention to detail and delivery of high-quality documentation with the ability to implement/influence change.
  • Good commercial acumen with demonstrated capabilities to manage and grow a book of business.
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills, comfortable dealing with stakeholders to C- level.
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment in the prioritization of competing work assignments, escalation of issues and the formulation of solutions.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Strong analytical critical thinking skills and experience around the use of data to manage and improve performance.
