Key Responsibilities
Process Optimization and Improvement
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, yield, and product quality.
- Implement process control techniques and procedures to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Identify areas for process improvement and lead initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with Equipment Engineers to develop and complete qualification plans outlining steps and criteria for equipment testing and validation.
- Conduct trials and experiments to test and refine process parameters.
- Gather and evaluate data from equipment trials to confirm performance against important metrics.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing evaluation and qualification processes.
Production Support
- Fix and resolve process-related issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production flow.
- Ensure all manufacturing processes align with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with quality assurance to implement corrective actions and preventive measures.
Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with R&D and product development teams to transition new products from development to production.
- Develop and validate manufacturing processes for new products.
- Conduct equipment and process validation activities to ensure readiness for production.
4. Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate with teams from different functions to ensure alignment on process requirements and goals.
- Communicate effectively with collaborators at all levels to report on process performance and improvement initiatives.
- Provide training and support to production staff on new processes and equipment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Demonstrated ability in process engineering, preferably in high-tech or advanced manufacturing environments.
- Proven proficiency in 7QC tools, process development, optimization, and addressing issues.
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), and other quality improvement tools.
- Familiarity with cleanroom environments and relevant safety protocols.
- Outstanding problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using process engineering tools (e.g., JMP, Minitab, FMEA, SPC, DOE).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with automated manufacturing systems and equipment.
- Solid understanding of semiconductor front-end manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards (e.g., ISO, FDA).
- Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt).
