We are seeking an experienced and visionary Vice President ? System Development (Semiconductor Technology) to lead our system development unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping the strategic direction of system development initiatives, identifying market needs, sourcing advanced technologies from research institutes and universities, and integrating them with commercial off-the-shelf solutions to drive innovation in the short (< 2 years) and mid-term (5 years).
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Define and implement the overall strategy for system development, addressing high impact problem statements, ensuring alignment with national objectives.
Market & Technology Research: Identify emerging market needs and scout for cutting-edge technologies developed in research institutes, universities, as well as in the industry.
Technology Sourcing & Assessment: Oversee the evaluation and selection of emerging systems, ensuring their feasibility, scalability, technology supply chain and potential for commercialization.
System Development & Innovation: Spearhead the development of new and impactful system-level solutions by integrating advanced research technologies with commercial off-the-shelf solutions.
Collaboration & Partnership: Establish and maintain strategic relationships with academia, research institutions, and industry partners to accelerate system development, facilitate technology transfer and product commercialization.
Venture Building: Drive venture building efforts, identifying business opportunities, forming spin-off ventures, and securing funding for company creation, productization and market introduction.
Job Requirements:
10+ years of experience in semiconductor technology development, system integration, and technology scouting, with a proven track record in a leadership role.
Strong business acumen with experience in identifying market trends and translating them into viable commercial solutions.
Extensive experience in prototyping, productization and validating semiconductor system solutions.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive high-impact projects.
Exceptional project management skills with a track record of delivering complex system solutions on time and within budget.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills for engaging with academia, research institutions, and industry leaders.
Knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and intellectual property strategies for semiconductor applications.
Experience in leading software and hardware co-development for semiconductor systems.
