SALES MANAGER, PUMPS, AFTERMARKET
Job Summary
This role is for Pumps Aftermarket activities in the region. Performance is linked to achieving agreed sales plan.
Responsible for the development, implementation and execution of strategies and tactics in support of the sale for Aftermarket services, through direct sales channels and channel partners. The position will require extensive involvement in the completion of all critical tasks related to the sales process including opportunity creation / identification, lead qualification, product selection, proposal generation & follow-up, and the ultimate capture of new business. The Sales Manager is responsible for successful direct business development, representative development, and developing strategies for penetrating OEM’s, EPCs, End User and direct market penetration
Principle Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage Representatives in the territory including forecast, business plans, and follow up on open opportunities
- Travel to select customers and prospects to develop personal relationships with key contacts, explore opportunities, and solicit inquiries and / or orders. Develop a working knowledge of the customers’ process, organization, and overall business to gain a competitive selling advantage for the company
- Manages and tracks the sales department efforts on quotation activity, profitability levels, pricing trends and quotation success ratios for assigned territories. Maintains and supports the Sales Team’s quotation tracking systems
- Prepare and present technical sales presentations to customer decision makers to promote company product offering and / or confirm that proposed product(s) complies with the customer requirements / specifications
- Pursue and review inquiries from clients for aftermarket parts and services for all pump field services opportunities to support our Aftermarket Operations
- Submit weekly reports, as required, which conveys noteworthy information collected during the week involving markets, customers, competitors, Reps or any other industry information that may have a direct or indirect impact on the company or business
- Investigate and coordinate the resolution of customer problems related to product, delivery or service
- Interface with customers and make site visits as necessary to conduct product design reviews and / or address commercial issues, to facilitate a customer order commitment
- Execute and implements programs to promote the technical advantages of Celeros Products designs, features and services
- Develops drive the FPSO market segment
- Execute sales and appropriate action plans to meet the bookings goals of the market
- Execute annual product forecasts for the Market
- Train and make joint calls with sales channels
- Execute, maintains profiles for clients (end users, EPC’s OEM’s)
- Provide Market intelligence and pricing recommendations
- Take ownership of major projects within the Territory providing overall strategy to win the business, collaborating with other regions and Product Managers to be part of cross regional pursuits and sales strategy
- Provide competitive updates for the region
- Performs distributor and rep goal setting and semi-annual reviews.
- May perform other work-related assignments as deemed necessary and appropriate by supervisor
- Work closely with the application engineers to ensure a compliant quotation is prepared on time
- Seek technical and commercial support as necessary from manufacturing locations as appropriate
- When required, obtain supportive quotations from sub-suppliers
- Facilitate handover documents for order submission to manufacturing locations
- Liaise with contact management during execution of contact
- Preparation of Pre-Qualification documents
- Preparation of business reports as required by Management
The successful Sales Manager, Pumps must have a strong Technical Sales background, hunter mindset and good track record in sales. This person should be an aspiring leader with structured thinking and business foresight. Experience in the Pump Industry with strong network in O&G & Power industry is a key requirement for this position.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to review customer supplied specifications, P&ID, and data sheets as they pertain to specific job usage and apply to Celeros Flow equipment offering to determine best value selections suited for purpose and application
- Proficient is MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat as they relate to job usage
- Capable of utilizing sizing programs
- Proficient knowledge of Centrifugal Pumps and their applications in Oil & Gas, Power and Water Industries
- This position may travel up to 70% of the time on a regional basis. (Subject to Final Business Direction)
- Experience in basic instrumentation and electrical design
- Exposure to fluid handling equipment sizing/design

Education & Experience
Degree in Engineering or similar field and 8-12 years of related experience in supporting sales activities/sales in Power, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Water & Wastewater and General Industries in the region.
