The Demand Planner and Buyer will manage both demand planning and procurement activities within the organization.
Responsibilities:
Demand Planning:
Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasting models to predict future product needs.
Analyze depletion reports to identify sales trends and generate product forecasts for procurement requirements.
Work closely with management, sales, and logistics teams to ensure the timely availability of products.
Continuously analyze data to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
Buyer:
Manage daily procurement and requisition activities, including handling shipments, and coordinating with vendors, warehouses, and freight forwarders.
Develop, implement, and regularly update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for procurement processes.
Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Oversee documentation for customs clearance, ensuring compliance with import/export laws and regulations.
Review vendor backlogs regularly and proactively expedite deliveries to meet deadlines.
Submit timely depletion reports to brand owners and relevant stakeholders.
Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
Evaluate supplier performance regularly, addressing any issues related to quality, delivery timelines, or service.
Implement cost-saving strategies without compromising product quality or delivery timelines.
Monitor inventory levels and lead times to prevent stockouts and overstocking, ensuring optimal stock availability.
Maintain high-quality standards for procured goods, conducting regular quality checks and inspections on received shipments.

2 to 3 years of experience in the FMCG industry, particularly in demand planning and procurement processes.
