Roles & Responsibilities

Retail Staff Requirements – Baby & Kids Clothing Store

1. Minimum Qualifications

• Basic computer and smartphone skills (for POS system and social media use).

2. Experience

• Retail or baby product experience is an added advantage but not mandatory.

• Experience in doing live selling or social media marketing is a plus.

• Newly graduates or schoolleavers are welcome to apply.

3. Skills and Competencies

• Customer service: Friendly and helpful when assisting parents and caregivers.

• Product knowledge: Willing to learn about baby clothing materials, sizes, and safety features.

• Sales skills: Confident in recommending and upselling related items (e.g. rompers, hats, booties).

4. Inventory responsibilities:

• Check incoming stock and ensure accuracy with packing lists.

• Conduct regular stock takes and report discrepancies.

• Keep track of popular items and low stock for restocking.

5. Social media/live selling:

• Comfortable and confident in speaking on camera for live sales on platforms like Facebook, TikTok, or Instagram.

• Able to showcase products, explain features, answer live questions, and interact with customers in a professional and engaging manner.

• Assist in setting up, packing orders, and following up after live sessions.

• Visual merchandising: Arrange baby clothing neatly and attractively by size and style.

• Attention to detail: Tagging, pricing, folding, and organizing stock accurately.

6. Physical Requirements

• Able to stand for long hours and move light to moderate stock boxes.

• Willing to assist in stock transfers and store cleanliness.

7. Personal Attributes

• Friendly, presentable, and child-friendly.

• Honest, responsible, and a fast learner.

• Creative and energetic for both in-store and online engagement.

8. Availability

• Willing to work on weekends, public holidays, and rotational shifts.

• Flexible schedule for evening live sessions or weekend promotions.
