Job
Responsibilities:

As a Child Protection Coordinator, you will support the Permanency Team in securing legal, physical and
relational permanency in the best interests of children who require long-term
out of home care.

You
will assist the team with:


Providing logistical
support, statutory intervention and services to address the needs of
children and young persons who have been seriously harmed or are at high
risk of serious harm.
Conducting necessary
assessments, checks and screening for children and young persons who have
been abused or neglected by their parents or caregivers.
Providing services for
children who need statutory guidance or care and protection because of
abuse, neglect and abandonment.
Supporting the maintenance of
the Adoption Registry through which children for whom adoption is the
primary permanency plan can be matched with prospective adopters.
Having overview over a small
pool of inactive cases where mainly administrative support is required.




Job
Requirements:


Degree
Tertiary qualifications in
Social Work, Psychology or related discipline
Experience in working with
vulnerable children and families or with investigative experience in
social service settings is an added advantage
Able to work during
weekends/after office hours where needed
