The Senior Sales & Application Specialist is responsible for plan and direct sales activities of the company's product range within budgetary and resource constraints with the objective of achieving optimum profitable sales, growth and stability and cost control.


This position reports to the Sales Manager and is part of the SEA Medical Commercial Team located in Singaporeand will be an on-site role.


In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Sales Performance: Achieve sales targets by covering the territory effectively and balancing product and customer mix. Build strong key accounts, maintain customer records, submit weekly reports, and use CRM tools proficiently. Identify new business opportunities by understanding market potential and competition.

  • Management of Distribution Channels: Appoint and manage distributors, align on market activities, provide product training, and implement pricing strategies to meet sales goals. Identify new business opportunities by understanding market growth potential and competition, with discipline management of sales funnel.

  • Market Trends and Competition: Stay updated on market trends in Microsurgery and Ophthalmology, including customer needs, market potential, and competition. Maintain a technical overview and perform annual SWOT reviews.

  • Technical Product Support: Maintain technical knowledge of products to support customers. Conduct pre-sales presentations, product demonstrations, and in-service training. Collaborate with distributors on market development and manage turnkey projects.

  • Logistics and Cost Control of Demo Stock: Control demo stock value within agreed limits to ensure adequate demonstration coverage to achieve sales targets.


The essential requirements of the job include
:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Biomedical science, Biomedical engineering or related medical healthcare disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a sales/service representative within surgical/medical device industry and key accounts management.
  • Strong experience in a strategic sales role based on value-based selling. Strategic thinker with a previous background in driving sales in targeted markets.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of medical products, process trends, and accepted practices and processes within the industry. Proficient operator of CRM platform, with deep insights on the data analytics in tandem with customers’ buying journey.
  • Strong knowledge of distribution channels within the assigned region required. Highly motivated & self-starter in sales target & growth plan pursuit. Market survey and analysis, presentation skill, computer literacy.


Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel within territory
  • Must have a valid driving license with an acceptable driving record
