Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Tyre Mechanic to join our automotive team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, fitting, repairing, balancing, and rotating tyres on a range of vehicles. Attention to safety, precision, and customer service is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Remove, install, and replace tyres on passenger, commercial, or heavy vehicles

• Inspect tyres for wear, damage, punctures, or defects

• Perform wheel balancing and alignment checks

• Repair punctured or damaged tyres (e.g., patching or plugging)

• Inflate tyres to correct air pressure

• Use tyre changers, balancers, and alignment equipment

• Maintain tools and workshop cleanliness

• Provide accurate reports and inform customers of tyre conditions or replacement needs

• Follow all workplace health and safety (WHS/OHS) protocols

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a tyre technician/mechanic (preferred but not always required)

• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy tyres/wheels
