As a Business Operation Analyst (Planner) in HP Singapore, Tuas, you will be responsible for managing supply chain activities, such as demand, supply and Buffer analysis, Inventory management, Production Planning and Order fulfilment to downstream across Singapore, Malaysia, Ireland, Corvallis, SPTS, GPS and Distribution center.

What does a Business Operation Analyst (Planner) do at HP?

1. To Publish Build Plan

  • Extract, and integrate Demand, e2e Inventory from SAP.
  • For GPS, CRV and SPTS, forecasts will be given offline.
  • Analyze WOS, capacity, batch size, production and testing lead time.
  • For any demand variation > 20%, validate SAP data and check with respective downstream planners; you need to be familiar with the products as ink use in different products and ISO Planners.
  • Arrange line time for qual (if any).
  • Arrange monthly meetings with Operation, Procurement, Engineering on the latest build plan and ensure raw material and resource supportability.
  • Plan must be uploaded in SAP before 1st Tuesday of the month for internal stakeholders to work on the Raw Material Planning and internal stakeholders for flash submission.

2. Flash vs Actual Comparison

  • Submit Flash vs Actual to Finance before the 2nd wed of the month.
  • Breakdown into ink level and provide narrative the reason of the changes.

3. AOS and Ship Plan

  • Perform buffer analysis, right balance inventory vs AOS.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse for the transfer of the goods from SIOQ to normal location upon receiving notification from Product.
  • SIO Planner also the Buyer role responsible to issue IC PO from Malaysia to procure Ink from SG and maintain right buffer to ensure AOS.
  • Booking of containers and air freight to arrange shipment plan across all regions.

4. Inventory Management

  • Need to work with downstream operation on submission of Quarterly inventory flash and work in due diligence to meet inventory target.
  • Work with Supplies Planner and Downstream Ops on the actual Build plan to ensure meeting of inventory target; SAP is “ship plan”, actual build and shipment plan will only be known offline.

5. Others

  • Need to be involved in ISO, GMP and QSA audit.
  • Attend weekly meetings with Operation and Engineering to understand any related issues: Qual, testing result, NCM, Raw material issue affecting the build plan& AOS.
  • Involve in managing the rollover plan for any NPI, EOL or change management, ensure minimum scrap and with approval from respective Bus/ Program lead.
  • You need to present forecast outlook and Performance metric to management via monthly review meetings.
  • You will work with different organizations across HP- Internal Procurement, finance, operation, technical team, logistics and downstream partners on Supply Chain related functions for products that under your care.
  • Review performance metrics on a regular basis, identifying opportunities for improvement.

Individual who does well in this role in HP, usually possess:

  • University degree with a focus in Supply Chain/Logistics or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Supply Chain functions.
  • Strong understanding of Supply Chain Processes (Forecast, Plan, sources, make, deliver & to right stocks with right products).
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills - ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self- starter.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, growing, and ambiguous environment.
  • Extensive understanding of Material Requirement Planning and Master scheduling.
  • Thorough knowledge on inventory analysis.
  • Knowledge in S4 will be an added advantage.
