Job Description:
Logistics Management
- Report to the Plant Manager, the incumbent supervises and oversee all aspects of stores, warehousing, goods inwards, dangerous goods management and logistics such as shipment documentation.
- Responsible to manage a team of stores and logistics personnel in a warehouse and distribution area within the site facility to meet logistic KPI.
- Organize and execute key projects, and manage within budgets and expenditures
- Lead quarterly business reviews with freight forwarders and last-mile delivery providers. Assess freight forwarder performance using scorecards and drive improvement plans.
- Expect to support the team's day to day tasks and drive lean improvement plan for the department to ensure that logistics operation flow efficiently at all times.
- Conduct quarterly freight rate cost and provide business recommendations to achieve cost savings.
- Support audits to ensure freight and last-mile delivery documentation complies with WSS standards.
- Monitor and report KPIs to management monthly.
Trade Compliances
- Maintain policies and procedures, including trade compliance, export control, and internal controls, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor internal compliance controls, conduct regular reviews, and provide recommendations for improvements to prevent policy violations and ensure effective risk management.
- Oversee and manage, Global Trade Services on product classification such as ECCN, HS Code
- Assist with statutory audits, regulatory inspections, and other external assessments to ensure compliance.
- Any other adhoc duties as assigned by the management team.
Qualifications
Job requirements
- 5 – 10 years of experiences in the logistics function with at least 3 years in the aerospace components company with the experiences in managing trade compliances, export control and internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Degree in supply chain, business management or related fields
- Knowledge in SAP
- Track record in managing complex logistics operations with strong trade compliance control
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers, customers and internal teams.
