Job Purpose:

The Food Tech Intern will support food processing and research activities, including machine operation and maintenance, documentation, sensory evaluations, and cross-functional collaboration. This role ensures the smooth execution of trials and testing while providing valuable support in data collection and administrative tasks.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

1. Execution & Cleaning (Food Processing Lab)

• Assist in running and cleaning specialized food processing equipment.

• Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety protocols.

• Work alongside an experienced staff member during machine operation.

2. Execution & Paperwork (Food Processing Lab)

• Support high-pressure processing (HPP) trials.

• Assist in documentation and reporting of processing outcomes.

• Work under the supervision of experienced staff members.

3. Sensory Tasting & Documentation

• Assist in setting up and supporting sensory evaluations.

• Record and organize sensory data for analysis.

• Work in coordination with team members based on tasting schedules.

4. Meetings, Research & Collaboration

• Take meeting minutes and organize relevant discussions.

• Support research activities related to food processing.

• Participate in cross-team collaboration and ad-hoc tasks as required.
