Job Description
As the FP&A Director reporting to Chief Financial Officer at A*STAR, you will play a critical role in driving financial planning and analysis functions across the organization. You will be responsible for providing strategic financial insights, supporting decision-making processes, and ensuring the financial health of A*STAR.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the financial planning and analysis functions including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Lead the team in collaborating with business units to create comprehensive financial plans that create impact through strategic initiatives.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management, including early alerts on potential areas of concerns.
- Provide leadership in driving efforts to strategically incorporate technology to enhance operational process efficiency and staff productivity.
- Provide mentorship and curate development opportunities for staff to expand both their capacity and capability.
- Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as needed.
- Preferably with a professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA or equivalent)
- Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of data analytics and data visualization tools is advantageous
- Able to stay updated on regulatory changes and emerging trends to anticipate future challenges and opportunities.
- Able to work independently and in a team to deliver outcomes in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
