JOB SUMMARY
This key role is pivotal in leading the development of Jabil/Customer BU Engineering processes for high volume manufacturing. The role will require very close cooperation between Ops/Eng Management, Business Unit Management and the customer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop Operations Engineering Model
· Lead the development and standardization of all IE processes required to
· Achieve World Class Performance for high volume cell phone manufacturing
· Coordinate activities with Operations Management and Operations Development to deliver the required solutions
· Work closely with Business Unit Management to ensure that the Engineering model is developed to meet the needs of the business environment
· Lead the deployment of the model throughout all sites engaged with Nokia
· Provide Guidance to Global Workcell Engineering Teams
· Coordinate with the Global Eng Teams in terms of process development, NPI Management, and Continuous Improvement
· Develop and track overall project objectives, ensuring all are met on time to agreed deliverables across multiple product families/manufacturing locations
· Create a positive, pro-active culture using strong motivation techniques for both IL and DL Teams
· Gain a general business awareness of customer e.g. market, strategy
· Understand customer technology roadmaps and develop plans to align Jabil to meet them
· Lead the development of cooperative improvement and development programs with the customer
· Effectively communicate meaningful information throughout the organization
· Ensure effective communication of all relevant technology development information
· Establish process for information and knowledge transfer
· Drive continuous improvement in the areas of Technology, Quality, Reliability, Delivery, and Cost
· Analyze areas for improvement, and create a continuous improvement culture throughout the extended operations team.
· May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
