About the Role:

The Business Development Manager will be pivotal in expanding TheMeetUpSG’s client base, nurturing high-value relationships, and uncovering new market opportunities. You will work closely with the Marketing, Events, and Management teams to deliver growth strategies that align with our vision of being a leading corporate events partner in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to achieve company revenue targets and growth objectives.
  • Identify, engage, and convert potential clients, focusing on corporate decision-makers (HR, Admin, Marketing teams, C-suite).
  • Lead pitches and proposal preparations, tailoring solutions to meet client needs and event objectives.
  • Oversee the daily tasks and operations of the business development and events team, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives.
  • Conduct weekly check-ins with the team to track progress, provide guidance, and resolve challenges.
  • Review and approve all proposals, quotations, and payment processes to ensure accuracy and profitability.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients through regular follow-ups and strategic account management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project handovers and successful event delivery.
  • Represent TheMeetUpSG at industry networking events, trade shows, and corporate functions to enhance brand visibility.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market shifts to proactively adjust strategies.
  • Manage CRM systems to track sales pipeline, forecast revenue, and report on performance metrics to management.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and collaborations to enhance our service offerings.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Degrees in Business, Marketing, Events Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven track record in business development, sales, or client management — preferably in events, marketing services, or hospitality sectors.
  • A strong network within corporate circles, especially HR, admin, and marketing decision-makers, is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Energetic, proactive, and solutions-driven attitude.
  • Experience with CRM tools and sales reporting.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
