You will also be tasked to plan and execute the Association’s signature networking events that engages the membership body and position the Association as a maritime partner of choice.
Key tasks
- Customer Relationship Management: Respond to inquiries, and manage customer leads, and stakeholder relationships.
- Eligibility Assessment & Compliance: Evaluate applications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to government guidelines.
- Grant Management: Manage the workflows of the manpower grant programme, ensuring compliance and smooth execution.
- Grant Processing: Assist with approval, claims submission, and disbursement of funds to eligible companies.
- Online System Management: Manage programme tasks through the Workforce Singapore’s programme partner portal.
- Monthly Reporting: track programme outcomes and budget commitments to ensure SSA meets WSG’s compliance framework
- Events Management: Event planning & logistics, procurement, managing guests lists, administration of sponsorship entitlements and management of vendor

Job Requirement
- Qualifications: A Diploma in Business Administration.
- Experience: Background in business administration, customer service, event management; prior experience in the shipping industry is an advantage.
- Attention to Detail: Highly meticulous, proactive, and resourceful team player.
- Customer-Centric: Good interpersonal skills with the ability to manage stakeholders and engage with all levels of an organisation.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and WordPress
- Fresh graduates with some experience with customer service or admin work will be considered

The Singapore Shipping Association (SSA) is a national trade association formed in 1985 to serve the interests of its members and enhance the competitiveness of Singapore as an International Maritime Centre and global hub port. The association represents over 500 member companies comprising of ship owners and operators, ship managers, ship agents and other ancillary companies such as shipbrokers, classification societies, marine insurers, bunker suppliers, maritime lawyers, shipping bankers, maritime tech startups amongst others.
