What the Role Entails

Position Overview
Join Tencent’s Finance team as a Financial Accounting and Analysis Intern with a focus on Accounts Payable (AP). This role offers practical experience in managing vendor payments, reconciliations, and financial operations, while allowing you to apply Python for data analysis and Tableau dashboard creation. Ideal for individuals with strong communication skills, an analytical mindset, and a desire to learn, you will contribute directly to streamlining financial processes and enhancing operational transparency. Shortlisted individual will be required to commit for a 6-month full-time internship from April 2025 onwards.

Responsibilities

• Verify, process, and record supplier invoices with accuracy and timeliness, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
• Support vendor payment scheduling, perform reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies effectively.
• Assist in preparing audit-related documentation and support internal control and compliance activities.
• Use Python and Tableau to build and maintain interactive dashboards that track and visualize AP metrics for reporting and analysis.
• Collaborate with finance and cross-functional teams to improve operational workflows and support process automation.
• Participate in team discussions and projects, demonstrating strong communication and a self-driven approach to problem-solving.

Who We Look For

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
• Able to commit to a 6-month full-time internship starting from April 2025.
• Proficient in Python for data analysis and Tableau dashboard creation; Excel skills are essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive attitude—experience in student leadership or project teams is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility, able to work independently and within a team.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese Mandarin is essential for liaising with China-based stakeholders and handling bilingual documentation effectively.
