Job Description
The Head of Cross Asset Financial Institutions Solutions Sales is a senior management-level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department to raise funds in the capital markets and provide clients with strategic advisory services in coordination with the Institutional Banking team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of investment strategies and advisory services to our public and private clients.
Responsibilities:
- The Head of Cross Asset Financial Institutions Solutions Sales will manage the sales initiatives of the Cross Asset Solutions Team covering Financial Institutions with a focus on Insurance Companies, Asset Managers and Banks.
- Responsible for originating, structuring and executing multi-asset solutions for Financial Institutions across Products.
- Provide strategic approach to delivering structured products/solutions, focusing on bringing the most appropriate opportunities to the right client segments with attention to client experience.
- Lead strong governance and controls.
- Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure.
- Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics.
- Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation.
- Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures as defined by the role.
- Obtain and maintain all registrations/licenses which are required for the role.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience, including 10+ years' managerial experience
- Proven influencing and relationship management skills
- Demonstrated understanding and leadership of a sales or trading business
- Consistently demonstrates leadership, written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of CRM systems
- Experience in sales process and best practices
- Ability to work in high pressure situations
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred; managerial experience
