The Department and Position
The department is responsible for development and maintenance of Capital Market IT applications (in-house and package) used worldwide, covering Front Office (Murex, Apex, Orchestrade…), Back Office (Summit, Calypso…), Market data referential (Asset Control..), Market Risk (in-house application on big data technologies).
The Transversal Operation division works across the full value chain of Back Office ans specially on the Collateral management. Within GIT and more specifically Capital Market IT, the GMD & MCR Transversal sector has launched the COMET project, aimed at building the new collateral management system:
- Receiving data from position-keeping systems
- Receiving data from the bank's repositories
- Management of collateral contracts
- Collateral management for all types of contracts and products: Calculations and issuance of margin calls and interest (collat & IM)
- Reconciliation management
- Creation and editing of user reports.
This project is managed in Agile mode and is an in-house Crédit Agricole CIB development.
This role aims to develop on GLOBAL COLLAT application, in project mode as well as maintenance, and to support the “run the bank” function. It requires a deep understanding of the nature of business operations, timing of activities & data flowing through internal and external systems. The build and support team continuously works with business users, infrastructure engineers and system managers.
Main Responsibilities
The Business Analyst is a functional specialist working with all stakeholders from his IT Division and aligned Business division to define and document Business needs and software requirements. The BA advises, reports and alerts top optimize and enhance solutions favouring the delivery of value. You will belong to Functional Community with all Business Analysts and Functional Architects.
This will cover the whole cycle from requirement gathering, specifications and testing until the delivery to production including the following responsibilities:
1. Ensure business requirement analysis activities
- Analyse Business requirement based on prioritization given by PO
- Help the PO and the team in decomposing requirements into detailed stories
- Translate requirements into cases into Functional Specification documents
2. Ensure the functional design of the software delivered by the team
- Support functional knowledge of the team with the help of the PO
- Research to determine if solutions currently exist in or outside the team
- Understand technical constraints and participate to the software design
3. Ensure functional quality of the software and Production quality
- Analyze functional change impacts on current production SLA & OLA
- Contribute to the BDD activities by providing users scenarios
- Contribute to the functional testing and functional support activities
- Contribute to deployment via functional prerequisites, post-deployment checks
4. Support the members of the team in their functional activities
- Train new joiners and team members functionally on the software
- Help team members in solving their functional issues
5. Ensure integration of the software in the IS in sync with the functional architect

Qualifications and Profile
- 4+ years of experience as a business analyst in a financial organization and more specifically on Market Data administration domain.
- Relevant experience in FPML format
- Exposure to the Capital Markets with proficiency in financial instruments (FX, Bonds, Rates, Equity, etc..), trading lifecycle and specifically market data.
- Exposure to Collateral management (payment of Variable Margin, initial Margin, MtM)
- Proven experience in technical proficiency with strong skills in SQL, Excel and possibility programming languages like Python or R for data manipulation and analysis. Familiarity with database management and querying
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both team mates and management
- Ability to convey clearly and concisely ideas in a concrete and coherent way.
- Willing to do L3 Support if required.
Good to have
- Ability to easily communicate with multi-cultural team members
- Experience in project management
- Experience in Back Office system (Calypso) or Front-Office or Market Risk
- Usage of tools such as MS Office / Sharepoint /Project / Visio, Jira, GIT
