We are looking for a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to oversee health and safety on AV project sites in Singapore. The role involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a safe working environment for all employees and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all work practices adhere to Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act, regulations, and any other applicable standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for any regulatory bodies or safety audits.
- Conduct safety audits and risk assessments on AV project sites, identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and guidelines specific to AV operations, ensuring compliance with both company and legal standards.
- Investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe practices to determine the root causes and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure that all safety equipment and PPE are in place and in good condition.
- Provide safety training and orientation for all staff and contractors, ensuring they are familiar with proper safety protocols specific to AV setups.
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, including risk assessments, inspection records, safety certifications, and training logs.
- Develop and lead engaging safety programs, activities, and initiatives to keep staff informed, motivated, and engaged with safety practices.
- Encourage team participation in safety-related activities or campaigns to build awareness and commitment to workplace safety.
- Carry out any HSE related functions / duties and processes as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or related field.
- At least 3 years of safety experience in the AV, or construction industry.
- Valid Singapore Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) certification.
- Possess BCSS / WAH, First Aid and other Safety Certification.
- Familiar with ISO 45001.
- Proficient in MS Office Applications.
- Candidates with fewer years of experience can be considered for Safety Coordinator role.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $4,000.00 - $6,000.00 per month
