About the Role
Preparations for Work Tasks
- Conducts physical inspection of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure that they are valid and fit for use.
- Conducts physical inspection of Ropes and other climbing / descending equipment to ensure they are valid and fit for use.
- Evaluate detailed work instructions issued and highlight any risks for effective mitigation.
On Site Responsibilities
- Together with the RASS Team, establishes cordon of work site before start of work.
- Attends Toolbox briefing before start of work and highlight any safety concerns.
- Conducts mandatory inspection of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure all PPEs’ and equipment certification are valid.
- Highlights Safety Hazards before start of work and during course of work.
- Physically Access Roof / Façade / Roof Trusses or any area requiring Rope Access skillsets.
- Physically ensure all Rope Anchored points to be used by himself and working buddy, are safely secured.
- Ensure work activities do not disrupt venue operation or public activities.
- Conducts inspections to ensure vertical platforms (Boom Lift & Scissor Lift) used are Fit for Use.
- Reports any Near Misses and Safety Violation incidents.
Post Work Task Responsibilities
- Responsible to carry out works in accordance to specified standards or requirements.
- Responsible to reinstate work site after completion of tasks.
- Prepare and submit Service / Work Reports within specified time.
Training and Development Responsibilities
- Attends periodical Refresher Training conducted.
- Updates herself with the latest development in terms of Rope Techniques and Equipment.
- Look out for and learn from relevant Safety Incident Case Studies with RAT.
