About the team
DA's General Health Services (GHS) business unit oversees our virtual clinic, physical clinics, mobile services, executive health screening and imaging centre, marketplace and pharmacy services in Singapore.
The Business Office team is a crucial part of the GHS business unit, supporting the day-to-day operational requirements of our health services teams in Singapore.
About the role
We are seeking an Executive/Senior Assistant, Business Office
The ideal candidate will have a high level of integrity and professionalism in all tasks, and will demonstrate strong curiosity and a desire for continuous learning and development. He/she shall also be comfortable working in a dynamic environment with limited supervision.
Candidates must be comfortable working on a shift basis and commit to the following:
- Monday to Thursday, working 9-hour shifts (8am to 6pm or 11am to 9pm, as rostered), with a mandatory 1-hour break in between.
- Friday, working 8-hour shifts (8am to 5pm or 12pm to 9pm, as rostered), with a mandatory 1-hour break in between.
- To be on-call on weekends (Saturday or Sunday) and Public Holidays for deployments to other locations when necessary.
- Dynamic on-site working venue, being deployed to various locations should the need arises, including our clinics and mobile events.
Prior experience in healthcare administration will be helpful. In this role, you will have the opportunity to be rotated to various work locations within General Health Services (GHS) to understand its operations.
This role reports directly to the Senior Manager, Ancillary Services
A summary of the key responsibilities are as follows:
- Accurately submit necessary medical claims via national insurance, third party administrator and DA platforms, while liaising with relevant parties to address any claims issues and ensure timely reimbursement.
- Manage and track impairment for services rendered that cannot be claimed from insurance, ensuring accurate reporting and prompt follow-up action where necessary.
- Assist with billing processes, including keeping track of amounts due and following up on outstanding payments.
- Design, maintain and update internal tracking and monitoring systems for improved efficiency.
- Assist in generating and sending of medical reports to clients, ensuring timely and accurate uploading to DA platforms.
- Be rotated to various work locations within General Health Services (GHS) to support day-to-day operations as needed, including:
- Physical clinics: Handle registration of patients, schedule medical appointments, dispense medication and consumables, payment collection and discharging.
- Mobile clinic:
- Liaise with clients to fulfil their home-based healthcare services needs with DA.
- Assist with preparatory work and on the day operations for on-site health-screening events.
- Assist with logistics handling across GHS division including liaising on the delivery of medication to patients, stock take, organizing and restocking of drugs and consumables and any other items required.
- Identify, recommend, and implement workflow improvements to enhance operational efficiency of the Business Office team.
- Train junior staff members, ensuring they are equipped with necessary knowledge and skills to perform their duties effectively.
- Responsible for self-development by attending in-house courses during working or non-working hours.
- To carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor/manager.
About you
- Meticulous and a keen eye for details
- Computer literate with basic proficiency in using emails and Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel) and Google Sheets.
- Good working knowledge of Plato is advantageous.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a proactive and collaborative mindset.
- Comfortable working independently on daily tasks and taking initiative when required.
- Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- Experience in a tech start-up and high-growth environment in a plus.

- Additional requirements for the senior position:
- 1-2 years of healthcare experience is preferred.
- Proven track record in customer service.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Google Suite or Microsoft Suite applications, including Google Sheets and Excel.
- Strong knowledge of medical insurance processes and national claim procedures is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology, medication, and consumables is beneficial.
- A start-up attitude - you take full ownership of things that you do, willing to go out of your comfort zones and take on new challenges.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and flexible to learn new things - we’re not done growing, and heading into uncharted territories is part of the fun!
