Overall Job Responsibility
The Senior Manager/Assistant Director, Human Resource Management, will be responsible for the review and implementation of HR policies and processes, compensation and benefits, employment contract management, conduct and discipline, job evaluation, HR digitalisation and operations.
The role will ensure compliance with policies, provide advisory support, and facilitate smooth HR operations to drive organisational effectiveness.
Duties and Responsibilities
HR Policy and Process Review
- Review and implement HR policies relating to compensation and benefits, conduct and discipline, job evaluation etc., adapting or adopting industry best practices where applicable
- Review HR metrics and adopt analytics to assess trends and provide data-driven recommendations on policy reviews
- Implement policy enhancements and ensuring the HR Management System is updated to cater to policy changes
- Ensure compliance of HR policies with Employment Act and other labour laws/guidelines Manage and coordinate the HR audits, including working with auditors and management to address audit findings
Employment Contract Management
- Manage the review and approval of contract renewal, emplacement, secondment and retirement/re-employment
- Track and follow up with staff on no pay leave/study leave, and refer these cases to HRBP for follow up on their posting plans
HR Operations and Others
- Manage and administer the yearly salary increment exercise
- Supervise and ensure accuracy of team member’s work with regards to payroll, leave, benefits, secondment billing and year-end financial reports
- Process staff’s requests for external appointments
- Provide HR advisory to Business Units (BUs) and management on HR policies/guidelines and processes
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
- Degree and above in any discipline, preferably with post-graduate qualification in Human Resource Management.
- At least 6 to 8 years of experience managing HR policies, performance management and/or compensation and benefits administration.
- Strong understanding of Employment Act, HR management processes, practices, tools and technologies
- Strong critical thinking, writing and presentation skills
- Ability to manage self and team to manage multiple priorities and deliver within stipulated timeline
- Proactive, resourceful and resilient
- Experience in HR analytics will be advantageous
