Job Description
You will oversee financial accounting and reporting for both local and overseas entities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. You will play a key role in financial consolidation, regional compliance, and process improvements while managing multi-currency transactions and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting (Local & Overseas Entities)
- Handle full sets of accounts for assigned entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Review and validate accounts receivable/payable transactions processed by junior teams.
- Prepare and post journal entries in compliance with IFRS and company policies.
- Manage overseas currency accounts, including forex transactions, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Generate monthly P&L reports, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Assist in quarterly GST submissions, annual audits, and tax-related queries.
2. Regional Compliance & Financial Control
- Conduct remote/on-site reviews of accounting records, internal controls, and cash management.
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements for local/overseas entities.
- Assist in designing and implementing new accounting controls and policies.
- Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations.
3. Financial Consolidation & Strategic Support
- Assist in monthly group consolidation, budgeting, and board reporting.
- Support audit and tax reviews for local and overseas subsidiaries.
- Prepare financial presentations for board meetings and regulatory submissions.
- Analyse financial data to support business decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA).
- 3+ years of experience in financial accounting, preferably with overseas currency exposure.
- Audit experience (Big 4 or mid-tier firms) is a strong advantage.
- Industry experience in Ecommerce, Retail, or Multi-national Companies (MNCs) preferred.
- Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial controls, and multi-currency accounting.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to lead small teams and drive process improvements.
