Job Overview:
The Business Impact Manager (BIM) plays a critical role in helping with and managing aspects of the operations and strategy of our industry, capability and market teams. The BIM will work as part of the Business Impact Team (BIT) and will support South East Asia Market Leader and two Regional Practice Leaders in enabling market and practice business development and management activities.
Overall, the BIT plays a critical role for the organization as the right-hand person for leaders of our firm. They need to be trusted and have influence with staff at all levels
Key Responsibilities:
Practice and Market Management
- Provide critical day to day support for the Practice Heads across a range of areas: problem resolution, drafting presentations and communications, managing the action list, staying abreast and ahead of trends. Strong candidates are expected to become a surrogate, shadow, and thought partner over time. Lead implementation of the market strategic priorities and support Market Lead in execution of day-to-day to do list.
- Leading practice/market processes, including flagging, coordinating and prompting Market/Practice Leader.
- Ownership and implementation for ad-hoc projects (i.e., market practice initiatives, specific training curriculum etc)
- Preparation of meetings, materials, meeting minute distributions and follow-ups, including plan and drive key internal market/practice meetings, e.g. leadership meetings, Partner meetings, practice/market staff events, practice/market offsite agenda and coordination, local IC sharing, etc, proactively prepare meetings including ownership of materials as well as PMO responsibilities, track actions and ensure proactive and timely follow-up.
- Draft and manage the Practice internal communications and relevant practice presentations.
- Ownership of internal comms infrastructure such as distribution lists, teams channels etc
- Coordinate with other Practices on practice/regional/global projects and strategic priorities
Commercial Activities
- Maintain commercial effectiveness tracking and reporting where required
- Coordinate on commercial offerings and campaign management across industries / capabilities /accounts
- Owning the Project Impact process for the market/practice including chasing, reporting and providing suggestions for actions
- MIS - Coordinate closely with Finance, KM, and Talent Analytics to develop and produce MIS; Work with Finance, Partners, and Talent Management to ensure that revenues are properly reflected and captured
- Work with Finance and Practice team to ensure proper management and tracking of investment budget, investments and return
Comms & engagement topics
- Comms ownership: newsletters, emails for new aligners/staffers, weekly staffing/commercial.
- Work with the Partner group and Support departments to ensure all internal information is updated including email groups, intranet, knowledge management system etc.
- Coordination of market/practice offsites, other social events
- Support Practices/Markets on engagement and retention, wellness and I&D initiatives
- Liaising with the Practice Partners and the internal support teams to ensure compliance / best practice in relevant processes, example MIS support, Partner objective setting, etc.
Business Impact support
- Be an integral part of the APR Business Impact Team and represent the practice while being the champion for regional and global best practice and process implementation for the practice
- Support the APR BIT team with practice level process implementation/ roll out/ follow up such as annual CIT review, Partner year end process, other critical business processes
- Help bring the practice and the partners on relevant change journeys
- Share market and practice management best practice with BIT and provide coverage support when needed
Experience Required:
- The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of experience in a consulting or professional services firm.
