Role overview

Seeking an experienced, self-motivating, pro-active finance professional as a Regional Finance Reporting lead. The incumbent will work closely with business line heads, team leads and country finance groups in Asia Pacific and Global. He or she is expected to drive forecast accuracy and assist in monthly process improvement and new system implementation, provide insightful analyses, manage stakeholders, solve problems and think-out-of-the-box. Work closely with finance teams across the Regions to prepare, test and develop reports for rolling forecast system go-live and support preparation for adhoc reporting work.

Having a good understanding and knowledge of financial operations, accounting frameworks, finance processes and eager to drive relevant digital and innovative solutions will be highly critical.

Responsibilities:

Problem Solving and Analytical Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage diverse range of service providers, client representatives and internal customers providing support and advice where needed

  • It is essential you have experience managing relationships across cultures, geographies and functions and can work effectively with stakeholders at different levels.

Finance/Business Partnering

  • Work closely with Hub finance and the business on commentaries for all management reports.
  • Help identify opportunities for cost-saving and productivity improvement.
  • Educate and guide businesses in all areas of financial and operational management as part of risk management.

Reporting/forecasting/planning

  • Prepare management reports and variance analyses on a monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc basis.
  • Work closely with Hub finance to resolve accounting issues or errors.
  • Prepare and review financial results with Head of Finance on a regular basis.
  • Prepare annual budgets, quarterly and monthly forecasts by working closely with business finance leads.
  • Drive forecast accuracy

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting, Certified Public Accountant (ICPAS), or relevant professional accountancy qualification. Demonstrated proficiency in applying US GAAP or IFRS principles
  • Preferably 10-12 years of working experience with regional exposure in MNC
  • Strong people leadership experience, preferably with geographically distributed teams
  • Experience in handling complex process and centralisation of process is a big plus
  • Experience working with offshore Finance Operations shared service teams
  • Strong project management and change management skills
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of management.
  • Can-do attitude and able to step up whenever non-routine jobs are assigned
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Able to work independently
  • Hands-on experience with industry standard ERP and reporting systems.
