Job Responsibilities (Training provided)
1. Provide assistance and support to senior staff members in carrying out research activities
2. Stock management of consumables and reagents in the laboratory including purchasing of supplies
3. Liaise with vendors for the maintenance and servicing of laboratory equipment when necessary
4. Local travel for sample collection/delivery
5. General administrative and secretarial duties e.g. shipping of samples etc
6. Ensure the general upkeep and smooth functioning of the laboratory
7. Perform hands-on experiments and operations in standard laboratory settings
8 Learn all the techniques of handling high molecular gdna and dealing with different quantitation methods.
9. Learn the basics of aseptic technique, working in tissue culture environment.
10. Performing short reads capture library preparation
11. Work on genotyping and quantification qPCR.
