Freelance English as Second Language Tutor (Young Learners & Exam Preparation)

iWorld Learning is a premier language education centre committed to helping students of all ages enhance their English proficiency. We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Freelance ESL Tutors to support young learners in mastering English and preparing for various academic assessments, including KET, PET, AEIS, IGCSE, IELTS, and school entrance exams.
Role Overview
As a Freelance ESL Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering interactive and structured English lessons to young learners, focusing on essential language skills such as speaking, listening, reading, and writing. You will also play a key role in equipping students with the necessary strategies to excel in standardized exams.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging and effective lessons tailored to young learners’ needs.
- Prepare students for key English proficiency exams (KET, PET, AEIS, IGCSE, IELTS, etc.), ensuring they develop strong test-taking strategies.
- Assess students’ abilities and customize lesson plans to address their individual strengths and weaknesses.
- Utilize a range of teaching materials, including digital tools, worksheets, and real-life scenarios, to enhance engagement and learning outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to both students and parents.
- Deliver lessons according to agreed schedules while maintaining a high standard of professionalism.
- Liaise with the sales team to keep them informed of student progress and provide recommendations for further learning.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
- A recognized ESL teaching certification (TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or equivalent).
- At least two years of ESL teaching experience with children.
- Proven experience preparing students for KET, PET, AEIS, IGCSE, IELTS, or similar assessments.
- Familiarity with school entrance exams is an advantage.

- Strong ability to connect with and engage young learners in a dynamic and effective manner.
- In-depth knowledge of standardized exam formats and test-taking strategies.
- Excellent communication, adaptability, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to tailor teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
- Patient, dependable, and passionate about education.
Additional Requirements
- Capability to conduct both online and in-person lessons is preferred.
- Experience using digital teaching platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.).

- Kids Group Classes:
- Monday & Wednesday OR Monday & Thursday: 16:30 - 18:00 / 16:30 - 18:30
- Tuesday & Thursday OR Tuesday & Friday: 16:30 - 18:00 / 16:30 - 18:30
- Saturdays: 10:00 - 18:00
