PURPOSE AND SCOPE
- The Asset Transformation Manager will play a key role in driving innovation and operational efficiency within the company’s power plant operations. By collaborating closely with business units, the role will focus on identifying, developing, and implementing digital solutions to modernize asset management practices, streamline field operations, and enhance overall plant performance. This individual will leverage cutting-edge technology to reduce the need for manual fieldwork, enhance predictive maintenance, and optimize asset lifecycle management.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Partnership: Partner with business units, including plant operations, maintenance, engineering, and Group Digital, to understand business challenges and identify opportunities for digital transformation within power plant operations.
- Digital Solutions Development: Research and recommend innovative digital solutions, such as IoT, AI, machine learning, and automation technologies, to transform asset management, reduce fieldwork, and improve operational efficiencies.
- Technology Integration: Lead the integration of digital tools and platforms into current operations, ensuring seamless functionality across various systems and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Operational Improvement: Identify areas where technology can improve existing processes, minimize downtime, optimize equipment performance, and enhance the reliability and safety of plant operations.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Use data analytics and digital platforms to monitor assets in real-time, identify trends, and enable predictive maintenance to reduce manual intervention and improve asset reliability.
- Project Management: Oversee the execution of digital transformation projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and external vendors, to implement digital solutions.
- Change Management: Lead the change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies across teams. Provide training, documentation, and ongoing support to empower plant operators and technicians with new tools.
- Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicate progress, challenges, and results to senior management and key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field or a related field.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES & PREFERRED & CHARACTERISTICS
- Proven experience in implementing digital technologies such as IoT, AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, and automation within industrial environments.
- Strong understanding of power plant operations, maintenance practices, and asset management.
- Experience in leading or partnering with cross-functional teams on large-scale technology implementation projects.
- Proficiency in digital tools and platforms relevant to asset management, predictive maintenance, and operations optimization.
- Familiarity with SCADA, Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems, and Condition Monitoring Systems.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and data analytics platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Power BI).
