The Head of Operations is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day non-academic functions of Uwing International School. This role ensures that the school operates smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements, enabling the academic and student services teams to focus on delivering outstanding education and care.

Key Responsibilities:

1. School Operations & Administration

  • Oversee all operational functions including HR, facilities, security, IT, procurement, and administrative support.
  • Implement and monitor SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to ensure operational efficiency and service quality.
  • Coordinate school-wide scheduling (e.g., term calendars, exams, events) in partnership with academic and student services teams.
  • Manage third-party vendors (cleaning, security, transport, catering, etc.) to ensure service standards and cost-effectiveness.

2. Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure school operations comply with EduTrust requirements.
  • Maintain and update school risk registers and emergency response plans.
  • Lead audits and inspections from government bodies and accreditation agencies.

3. Facilities & Resource Management

  • Oversee the maintenance and development of school facilities and ensure a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment.
  • Monitor asset inventory, equipment usage, and resource procurement.
  • Lead infrastructure upgrade and renovation projects as needed.

4. Finance & Budgeting

  • Contribute to budget planning for operational needs.
  • Monitor operational expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Support financial forecasting related to school capacity, facility upgrades, and vendor contracts.

5. People & Team Management

  • Lead and manage the operations team, including admin staff, IT support, and maintenance personnel.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate non-teaching staff in line with school HR policies.
  • Promote a service-oriented culture within the operations team.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Education Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in an education or service-oriented setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of Edutrust Requirements
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proactive problem solver with attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $4,000.00 - $6,000.00 per month
