RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement server and storage hardware architectures that meet the organization's performance and capacity requirements.
Analyze current and future hardware needs, conducting capacity planning to support organizational growth.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of hardware configurations, procedures, and best practices.
Work with IT teams to integrate hardware solutions with software applications and network infrastructure
Conduct testing and validation of new hardware solutions to ensure compatibility and performance standards are met.
Assist in the development and implementation of disaster recovery plans for server and storage systems.
Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements and innovations.
Assist in maintaining the compliance of server rooms. (cabling, power, cooling, etc.)
Emphasizing operational improvements through the utilization of automation to enhance efficiency
Continuous improvement of availability, quality, and efficiency of existing system solutions
Participate in the rotating shift for 2nd/3rd level support
Participate in Incident/Major Incident/Problem management activities
Occasional outside-office-hour works for global meeting and maintenance work.
REQUIREMENTS
This position requires a BS degree in Computer Science or comparable degree and 5 years of experience.
Good expertise in handling Microsoft server operating systems as well as around network technology (in an office and industry environment)
In-depth knowledge of server architectures (e.g., rack-mounted, blade servers).
Experience with various storage technologies (e.g., SAN, NAS, DAS).
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
Proficiency in hardware troubleshooting and diagnostics
ITIL foundation level knowledge is required.
Scripting knowledge such as PowerShell or Python are a plus.
Knowledge / experience on Microsoft Azure Solutions is a plus.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, NetApp Certified Professional) are a plus.
Assist in the development, implementation, and testing of disaster recovery plans for server and storage systems.
Experience with IT infrastructure implementation projects
Project management and/or provider management capabilities will be an advantage.
Inventory management skill for a responsible area is required
Fluent in English, enabling clear communication in diverse professional settings.
Capable of clear and effective self-directed communication, providing technical guidance, sharing ideas, prompting action, and developing strategies and policies as needed.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Willingness to travel occasionally, both domestically and internationally, to support our global operations and initiatives
