Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Kitchen Cook specializing in Putian cuisine The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of Fujian (Putian) culinary techniques, ingredients, and preparation methods. The cook will be responsible for preparing authentic Putian dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and efficiency in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and present authentic Putian cuisine according to restaurant recipes and standards.

  • Ensure that all ingredients are fresh and properly stored to maintain quality and taste.

  • Cook a variety of Putian dishes, including braised seafood, bamboo shoot soup, drunken cockles, fried Heng Hwa Bee Hoon, and other signature dishes.

  • Maintain consistency in taste, portion sizes, and presentation.

  • Follow food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment.

  • Assist in maintaining kitchen equipment and utensils, ensuring they are clean and functional.

  • Adhere to all food handling, sanitation, and waste management policies.

  • Monitor stock levels of ingredients and assist in inventory control.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a cook specializing in Putian or Fujian cuisine.

  • Strong knowledge of traditional Putian ingredients, cooking techniques, and flavors.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and handle multiple orders efficiently.

  • Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

  • Fluency in Mandarin is a plus for better communication with the team.
