Vita Singapore is currently searching for an experienced MEP Package Manager to join the Project Management & Construction team responsible for the build and delivery of a range of projects.

The platform focuses on investing, acquiring, developing, constructing, managing, and operating real estate projects in fast-growing life sciences, innovation and R&D real estate markets in Asia-Pacific. The company operates within two main segments – a high-barrier-to-entry life sciences project construction management business and a specialized investment management business. Since the 2000s, the project construction management business has worked on over 200 projects in Asia-Pacific for more than 100 blue-chip life sciences and pharmaceutical companies, with many repeat clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety:

  • Lead and champion safety initiatives within the team.

  • Ensure compliance with EH&S Program and recommend improvements.

  • Set an example by adhering to safety protocols and attire.

  • Address unsafe acts promptly and effectively.

  • Participate in Trade Kick Off meetings and EH&S training.

  • Facilitate MEP Package Engineers' sign-off on safety procedures.

Cost and Procurement:

  • Review MEP bid packages and assist in contractor selection.

  • Evaluate technical requirements and commercial aspects of contracts.

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Maintain knowledge of project budgets and review forecasts.

  • Oversee variations and contractor invoices.

  • Manage financial and technical documentation closure.

Schedule:

  • Contribute to the development of the project schedule.

  • Ensure subcontractors meet workforce and work hour requirements.

  • Monitor subcontractor performance against targets.

  • Coordinate MEP design, shop drawing approvals, and work sequencing.

  • Lead commissioning and turnover planning.

Quality Control:

  • Organize design reviews with consultants and trade contractors.

  • Establish procedures for submittal, review, and coordination of documents.

  • Communicate Quality Plan requirements to Package Engineers and Field Engineers.

  • Assign qualified personnel for inspection duties.

  • Ensure compliance with project requirements and quality control procedures.

  • Monitor inspection activities and qualifications of inspection personnel.

  • Promptly address NCRs and punch list issues.

  • Collaborate on systems testing and commissioning plans.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (preferred).

  • Proven experience in MEP management on construction projects in relation to:

    • HVAC

    • Clean and black utilities

    • Piping / equipment installation and hook-ups

    • Fire protection

    • Underground services

  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols and EH&S programs.

  • Familiarity with cost analysis, procurement, and budget management.

  • Proficiency in project scheduling and construction sequencing.

  • Quality control and inspection expertise.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience in a similar role in building/ refinery/ petrochemical/ process / pharmaceutical plant construction would be a distinct advantage.
