Position Purpose

The Regional Lead, SJ Global Academy (L&D) ASIA is responsible for working with the Director, SJ Global Academy to execute the SJ Global Academy Learning Strategy and support fostering an exceptional employee experience across ASIA.

The Lead will also act as a change agent and support the harmonization of L&D into the SJ Global Academy, working under the guidance of the Director, SJ Global Academy.

They will be the owner of regional L&D in alignment with the SJ Global Academy Learning Strategy whilst lead, manage and implement regional/local capability and talent development requirements in partnership with the business and P&C leaders across ASIA.

The role involves the support and co design and development of global programs and initiatives; and the implementation of the programs and initiatives related to the Global Learning & Development / Global Academy strategy at a regional level.

The incumbent will contribute to the global P&C/L&D transformation and an advocate of the business transformation, particularly for their regional and the business lines represented within.

Key Accountabilities

  • Business partnering with regional leaders and key business stakeholders for all L&D needs

  • Develop regional L&D strategy in alignment with the Global Academy strategy and derive regional/local implementation plans with appropriate stakeholders.

  • Support and implement the Global Learning and Development Strategy; and contribute to Global L&D efforts (programs, projects, initiatives)

  • Lead the design and delivery of regional L&D programs, including global programs’ roll-out, and region-specific initiatives.

  • Develop effective and collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders that contribute to the success of the function and the business.

Formal Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and appropriate equivalent experience Human Synergistics LSI (ideal)

  • International Coaching Federation - Coaching level 1 or equivalent (ideal)

  • Project Management

  • Other diagnostic tools (desirable)

Experience

Has the demonstrated ability to consistently:

  • Develop and implement high impact L&D strategy relating to talent and people development.

  • Develop L&D frameworks and policies.

  • Project manage global programs.

  • Translate strategy into operation and implementation.

  • Develop, manage and retain strong collaborative and constructive relationships.

Skills / Knowledge

  • Strong and well-rounded knowledge of L&D function

  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills

  • Strong coaching skills

  • Strategic foresight and creativity to enable L&D strategy and deliver on global and regional L&D agenda.

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management

  • Instructional design (desirable)

  • e-Learning authoring tools (desirable)

  • LMS working knowledge (preferably Workday)
