Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Programming & Operation:
- Develop and modify CMM programs for part inspections using industry-leading software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Zeiss Calypso).
- Perform CMM inspections to ensure parts meet precise design specifications and tolerances.
- Quality Assurance & Inspection:
- Conduct dimensional and visual inspections using CMM and other measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges).
- Generate detailed inspection reports documenting results, measurements, and deviations.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve any quality issues or concerns.
- Data Analysis & Process Monitoring:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret inspection data to identify trends and ensure consistent quality.
- Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods to track process performance and recommend improvements.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with engineering, production, and design teams to review technical drawings and ensure conformance to specifications.
- Provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement in production quality.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Maintain up-to-date calibration records for CMM machines and other inspection tools.
- Ensure all inspections comply with ISO and other relevant industry standards.
- Document non-conformance issues and participate in corrective action processes.
- Maintenance & Equipment Care:
- Perform regular maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of CMM machines and inspection equipment.
- Work with the maintenance team to resolve any equipment malfunctions.
- Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent future quality issues.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proven experience in CMM programming and operation in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance methods, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and precision measurement tools.
- Knowledge in Wenzel machine
- Preferred with Singapore Experience
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other relevant quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
