Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the company’s credit policies, ensuring adherence to established credit limits and terms. Continuously monitor the credit risk of existing clients and assess the creditworthiness of potential clients.
  • Proactively track and follow up on delinquent accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments. Develop and maintain effective communication with delinquent clients to understand payment issues and negotiate resolution.
  • Work closely with the sales team to coordinate and arrange meetings with delinquent debtors. Collaborate with clients and sales representatives to discuss outstanding debts, payment challenges, and potential solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of all communications and meetings with clients regarding overdue payments. Prepare and present regular reports on the status of outstanding debts, identifying trends or potential risks to the business.
  • Identify the root causes of delayed payments and work with internal teams and clients to implement corrective actions that mitigate future payment delays and reduce bad debt.

Qualifications:

Trained in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Proven experience in auditing, internal controls, credit management
  • Strong understanding of auditing standards, processes, and regulations.
  • Experience in credit risk management, debt collection, or accounts receivable is a strong advantage.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, sales teams, and senior management.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and identify trends or discrepancies.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings clearly to senior management.
  • Proficiency in ERP software and Microsoft Office Suite
