Network Engineer (Firewall and Network Engineer)
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our team for the Woodlands project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment, including firewalls, switches, and load balancers, ensuring the security and efficiency of our network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:-
Design and Implementation:
- Design and implement firewall architecture, including external, internal, and web application firewalls (WAF).
- Configure and install network switches, load balancers, and routers.
- Ensure network equipment is properly maintained, labelled, and documented.
Security and Compliance:
- Implement security measures to prevent unauthorized access and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Perform network hardening and apply security patches and firmware updates.
- Monitor and manage network security, including intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
Maintenance and Support:
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of network equipment.
- Backup network configurations and maintain an updated IP address listing.
- Provide technical support and respond to network incidents and outages.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations and changes.
- Provide regular reports on network performance, utilization, and capacity planning.
- Assist with audit findings and ensure compliance with security policies.
Collaboration and Adaptability:
- Work effectively in a Systems Integrator Environment.
- Adapt to and manage rapidly evolving technology trends.
- Exhibit strong listening and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate analytical and creative problem-solving abilities

Qualifications:-
- Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in network engineering, particularly with firewall and network installation.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, security standards, and best practices.
- Experience with network equipment from different manufacturers to enhance security.
- Familiarity with industry standards for network device hardening and IP address management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:-
- Certification in network security (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CISSP).
- Experience with Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), Load Balancer, and Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
- Knowledge of network monitoring and management tools.
- Experience with high availability and disaster recovery planning.
Shift Details:-
- Standby Duties: The role involves standby duties performed from home, ensuring continuous coverage without overburdening any single individual.
Location Details:-
- Primary Location: The candidate will be stationed in Singapore
- Travel Requirements: Occasional travel between Woodlands in Singapore and Johor Bahru will be required.
Eligibility:-
This position is open to individuals who are legally authorized to work in Singapore without the need for work passes and permits applications or visa sponsorship. Candidates should also be open to occasional travel to Johor Bahru.

Pay: $3,200.00 - $4,000.00 per month
