  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

As the Communications Intern, you will support the SBF Foundation Communications Team in executing strategic communication initiatives. This internship offers a valuable opportunity for hands-on experience in corporate storytelling, event planning and management, content creation, and stakeholder engagement.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and edit content for social media posts, website articles, and newsletters
  • Design EDMs (Electronic Direct Mailers), social media visuals, and other artworks for digital communication.
  • Assist with the creation of video content for internal and external communications.
  • Support editing and production of video materials for social media or presentations.
  • Assist in supporting and promoting SBF Foundation events, webinars, or community outreach initiatives.
  • Support logistics planning and execution.
  • Assist in monitoring the performance of social media campaigns, website traffic, and other communication channels.
  • Compile reports on the effectiveness of communication strategies.
  • Assist with preparing and updating SBF Foundation’s presentation decks for board member, donors, and SBF events
  • Support the development of SBF colleague engagement campaigns to raise awareness of the Foundation

Requirements

  • Preferably pursuing a degree in Business Studies, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Must be able to commit to a minimum three-month full-time internship from May onwards.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively.
  • Familiarity with social media management and basic graphic design tools (eg. Canva)
  • Video production and editing skills (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or equivalent) are a plus.
