Art Advisor (Full Time employment)
[Key Responsibilities]
1. Public Relations & Marketing
- Craft compelling press releases, exhibition texts, and marketing materials.
- Develop and execute PR campaigns to enhance the gallery’s brand presence.
- Manage media relations, including journalists, influencers, and industry contacts.
- Oversee social media content, newsletters, and website updates.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on marketing strategies.
2.Sales & Client Relations
- Promote the gallery and establish strong relationships with potential collectors and clients.
- Handle customer inquiries, provide art advisory services, and resolve issues.
- Conduct sales presentations, negotiations, and follow-ups with buyers.
3.Exhibition & Operations Support
- Assist in curating exhibitions, researching, and developing exhibition concepts.
- Properly handle and prepare artworks for client and gallery viewings, including installation.
- Assist in art fairs, liaising with collectors, institutions, and industry professionals.
- Conduct research and perform administrative tasks related to exhibitions.
- Support daily operations such as email management, invoice generation, cataloging, and archive management.
- Maintain the gallery’s visual appearance and oversee artwork database management (tools, materials, inventory, price lists).
- Arrange domestic and international artwork shipping, coordinating with logistics companies.
-Liaise with Whitestone Gallery teams in other locations.
- Oversee artwork transportation, installation, and de-installation, working with contractors when necessary.
- Carry out other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
[Requirements]
Bachelor’s degree in Art History, Fine Arts, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Strong writing skills with experience in PR, marketing, or editorial work.
Proven experience in art sales, client management, or a related field.
Deep knowledge of contemporary art, artists, and market trends.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with artists and high-end collectors.
Experience in curatorial work or exhibition planning is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop is a plus.
[Working Hours]
- Working hours: 10:00AM – 7:00PM
- 5days work in shift per week, Tue – Sun (Gallery closed on Monday and Public Holidays)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $3,200.00 - $3,800.00 per month
